Munich's best founder story this week isn't a funding round; it's a doctor who got fed up. Johannes Hargasser, an anesthesiologist by training, co-founded Ambuflow after years of watching outpatient surgery centers run on fax machines and fragmented spreadsheets. His platform now tracks the whole process chain, financials included, aiming at 50,000 surgeries a year. Sometimes the best founders don't study the market. They were stuck inside it.

Meanwhile Oceanloop closed up to €38.5 million, EIB venture debt included, to scale land based fish farming and bring Europe's first giant groupers to a plate near you. Munich isn't doing subtle bets this month.
