Hey Munich,

August is supposed to be the quiet month. Nobody told venture, AI, or the people selling smarter phones.

Meta released Muse Glimmer, a 30 billion parameter open model that runs on a single GPU. Intel raised $15 billion to chase the same AI boom everyone else is already standing inside.

Closer to home, NavVis closed an $85M Series D, led by The Jordan Company. TU Munich spinout, thirteen years in, mapping factories and infrastructure in 3D for BMW, Mercedes and Siemens. Munich keeps building the boring infrastructure the rest of the world eventually can't live without.

On consumer: Apple is facing iPhone 18 margin pressure as memory costs climb, and Google unveils Pixel 11 tomorrow in New York, hosted by Trevor Noah, built entirely around Gemini.
